Lead tours at Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic, Frederick C. Robie House in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. Named UNESO World Heritage Site in 2019!

Interpreter training is a concentrated three-week study, including online readings, class lectures and workshops leading to certification.

Training will take place at the house from March 16th through April 1st, 2020.

Class sessions are: Monday & Wednesday evenings 6:30-9:30pm AND one Saturday from 9-4pm.

Interested individuals must attend an informational orientation and qualify for enrollment.

After certification, this is an ongoing volunteer opportunity, where you set your schedule. 4 hours per month.

The mission of the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust is to engage, educate and inspire the public through interpretation of Frank Lloyd Wright’s design legacy and preservation of his original sites for future generations.

Description

Volunteers present our world-class museums and their historic neighborhoods to an international audience and help with special events and education programs. By donating at least four hours per month to the Trust's programs, volunteers share their knowledge and appreciation for architecture, design and the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. Our training program equips you to serve in a variety of volunteer positions. Continuing education opportunities engage volunteers and deepen their knowledge of history, art and architecture.
