Through myriad programs and services, NewLife Alliance at the Stone Hearst Apartment community in Beaumont provides social, academic and spiritual enrichment to children and families within our community and beyond.
Students in our Tejas Kids Opportunities After School Program are led and encouraged to be leaders in their neighborhoods, their community and hopefully their classrooms. We are currently focusing on boosting math skills by facilitating a web-based, math skill building tool offered in our on-site computer lab.
That's where you come in. Because we have more students than computers, we need help monitoring time-limited sessions in the computer lab. Students will spend 15 to 20 minutes each at a computer working on the math tool. We rotate new students until each has had a turn. Lab monitors will help create and/or maintain the rotation schedule and assist in keeping order as students toggle back and forth to other facets of the after school program. We need a monitor once or twice per week; for an hour or so per visit; for two months or longer if desired.
Many companies are getting on board with allowing employees time off to volunteer. Perhaps yours is one of those companies. This may also be an ideal opportunity for students as well. Please consider helping through this- or other opportunities we have.
But, if you are unable to help us, please help SOMEWHERE!

Description
(formerly NewLife Housing Foundation)
NewLife Alliance is a Christian 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that fosters communities of encouragement and empowerment for people of all ages and abilities. Through stewardship and cooperative relationships, we offer tools and resources to achieve financial independence, civic responsibility, educational advancement and spiritual steadfastness among families residing in our affordable housing communities across Texas.
As servant leaders, we represent an alliance of community-based businesses, groups, churches and academic institutions that collaboratively sow seeds of optimism, strength, productivity, enlightenment and peace.
We believe that one of life’s greatest rewards is the unmatched joy derived from personally helping others. NewLife Alliance is a connection point where caring people help those in need to survive and thrive in the midst of societal complexities.
An abundance of wealth in our great nation gives many people the resources to share with others; however, far too many families in our communities and beyond are overlooked and underserved. Offering hope, education, encouragement, and support is one of the ways we seek to bridge those gaps; enhancing the quality of life for families we serve.
