Have you taken a part a toaster just to see how it works? If building gadgets and tinkering with everyday objects excites you, there's a senior who would like to meet you.
He has extensive work experience in the field of Geophysics and loves disassembling and building a plethora of objects. He would be delighted to visit with a like-minded individual who wants to help him build a model airplane or hear his life stories.
A suitable volunteer would be able to meet for 2-3 hours per week, be patient, friendly and able to pass a felony background check.
Volunteers will *not* be asked to perform any medical assistance -- only friendly interactions.
Volunteers must attend training and orientation prior to starting service.

Description
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteers of America provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 years and older to use their skills, insight and lifetime experiences to assist residents and non-profit agencies in the county. RSVP also offers a variety of programs which provide services and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
