A family in Cottage Grove who is caring for their 7 year old son who has a learning disability and a medical condition is in need a female volunteer to spend time with their son. The volunteer would not be providing any medical care or daily living cares. The volunteer would be there for companionship and supervision so that the caregiver may take a break.
He likes to play and spend time with others. His development is delayed at this time so he does not do much walking.
This would be a fun experience for a female volunteer that is 40 years old or younger and would be a great opportunity to learn about another culture as well.
They have no pets or smoking in the home. They are looking for a volunteer for a Friday or Saturday evening after 5 pm for 2-3 hours for 2-4 times a month depending on what the volunteer has to share.
This could also be a shared volunteer experience, where one volunteer goes one week and the other volunteer goes the next week.
