Role Description: -Set annual fundraising goal! * Create annual fundraising strategy! * Collaborate with Executive Director, Major Donor Personnel, and Society Coordinator to create strategy! * Plan annual calendar of fundraising activities ! Silent auctions ! Society fundraising events ! Pursuing Society members to be event sponsors ! - Annual 5K Walk/Run! #GivingTuesday Campaign ! ChristmasAsk! Mailers! The mission of Widow Care is to provide desperately needed support services to Montgomery County residents facing or dealing with the loss of a spouse, so they can become empowered to carry on with their lives.
Description
Widow Care operates locally by connecting neighbors with neighbors to strengthen communities. We channel the skills and generosity within a community to meet the needs of a population rarely considered and often forgotten. We connect compassionate volunteers with widows and widowers who desperately need help coping with every day tasks after loss. We also conduct educational programs to empower widowed individuals to become self-sustaining.
