As an adoptions volunteer for Sheltering Hands, you will be doing a variety of things. Each day volunteers clean, feed and play with our cats and kittens who are in the adoptions center. As potential pet parents stop by, you will speak with them about our cats and work with them to get an idea of what cat personality will best work in their home. Volunteers do pre-adoption interviews, go over our policies and procedures and also do home visits to deliver the newly adopted cat. Adoptions are held Wednesday-Sunday at Petsmart in Ocala. Adoption hours vary by the day and we can work with each volunteer to match them with a time that works best for him or her. Work for an hour or more- we would love to have you!

Sheltering Hands, Inc. is a cat rescue organization that works to improve the lives of cats in our community through various programs and activities, including TNR (trap-neuter-return) services, adoptions, senior for senior placements, low cost spay/neuter vouchers, emergency medical care and education programs to help create healthy and happy lifetime placements for cats.
