Mission Statement

The mission of Inspire Youth Project is to offer emotional support and advocacy to at-risk children and youth. By improving emotional and social relationship skills, providing a safe community of peers, and teen leadership and scholarship opportunities, Inspire Youth Project supports our youth to make decisions that help them rise above the cycle of poverty, adversity, and marginalization to become successful throughout school and in life.

Description

Since 1988, Inspire Youth Project has been a place where children and youth impacted by HIV/AIDS, trauma, neglect, and abuse can find a place of belonging, support, and understanding. Today, Inspire Youth Project’s empowering network of support programs has grown to include Magic Circle Support Groups, Teen Leadership, One-on-One Mentoring Partnerships, Day and Summer Camps, and Scholarship opportunities. By improving emotional and social relationship skills, providing a safe community of peers, and teen leadership and scholarship opportunities, Inspire Youth Project supports our youth to make decisions that help them rise above the cycle of poverty, adversity, and marginalization to become successful throughout school and in life. At their side and on their side, we remain a place of belonging for their lifetime.

Our youth and teens are connected to Inspire Youth Project from local medical professionals, trauma care centers, and by referral from partner schools and community organizations.
