Help prepare meals for homebound individuals and seniors at the St. Therese Little Flower Senior Center. When you work in the nutrition kitchen, you are making a difference in the lives of others!
Duties:
- Package meals
- Make coffee
- Assist with setting up dining area
- Wash kitchen counters
- Wash utensils/pans used
- Clean kitchen floor
- Clear and clean tables in dining room
Requirements and expectations:
- Must wear apron, gloves, and hairnet/hat when in the kitchen.
- Must maintain neat, clean appearance.
- Must present a pleasant attitude when dealing with others.
- Must be willing to receive food handling training and understand portion control when assisting with meal servings.
- For safety, volunteers are not allowed in the kitchen or around food when they are experiencing the following: coughing/sneezing, cold/flu symptoms, elevated body temperature, cuts/scratches that require bandages on hands.
Nutrition kitchen hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information or to inquire about current shift openings, contact Rachel Larsen at rlarsen@ccharities.com or 816.659.8216.
