Do you like to decorate? Be on a Decor Committee for a non-profit Gala!

We are looking for volunteers to serve on a decor comittee for a non-profit foundations annual Gala. We are ceelbrating 25 years at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation and want our Gala to be the best yet! The theme is Phantom of the Lagoon, a Masquesrade and will be held at the Sheraton in Carlsbad on July 18th, 2015.

What we are looking for are people to serve on our decor comittee working with our decor chair person, an experienced interior designer. What this entails is making center pieces, decorating the event area, getting supplies etc. There is a catch! Because we are a non-profit foundation, we like to get everything donated. So on top of coming up with cost friendly decorations, the materials need to be donated. This menas going to stores, talking with managers and getting as much items donated as possible.

We are lookign for people that can spend about 3 hrs a week to get this done and serve on an ongoing basis - well until July 18th. It is fun, you work with a great group of people and if you are care about our the Carlsbad Lagoon - all monies raised go to our programs here at the Discovery Center.
