JetBlue Ambassadors are crew members who are employed by JetBlue desirous of performing charitable work for Send Me On Vacation. The Ambassador will wear a SMOV pin and create awareness and education of the Send Me On Vacation program for breast cancer survivors. They encourage breast cancer survivors who are financially disadvantaged to apply to SMOV for a vacation. Once the recipient is awarded a vacation, the Ambassador will support the vacation award process by calling the recipient, send an acceptance card, manage vacation details for the recipient, follow up with recipient after vacation to secure testimonial and photos/videos for publication and charity use. The Ambassador will also encourage the awarded survivor to herself do a third party fundraising event to pay it forward for other survivors in the future. It is expected that this process per recipient will take approximately 22 hours of time by the Ambassador.

Our programs include Survivor Vacations, Stage 4 Staycations and Caregiver Recharge getaways. We have been in operation for 3 years and have sent over 100 women on vacation. Send Me On Vacation is focused but not limited to Breast Cancer and other cancers that effect women. We believe that an essential step in surviving cancer is to provide survivors with a well-deserved vacation to celebrate life!
