Description

AQUA Corps, Inc. is 501(c)3 organization that creates positive change in individuals from vulnerable populations and in the lives of our volunteers who assist them. AQUA facilitates these transformative experiences by organizing service activities/projects that offer help in the trenches of underserved communities in unique and memorable ways. The AQUA Corps community is comprised of over 350 adult volunteers from South Jersey. This team is brought together because we share the same passion to volunteer with those who need it the most to create change. In any given week, AQUA Corps services about engages at least 40 dedicated volunteers from our community.

AQUA Corps goes beyond the typical volunteer experience by adding service learning which is essential to creating a lasting impact in both the volunteers and recipients. Through guest speakers, literature, videos, or sharing history, AQUA volunteers learn about the causes, factors, and solutions that impact vulnerable populations and communities we serve.

Once each month we prepare a dinner for about 130 homeless patrons in Camden. Every other Sunday, we coordinate our "Homeless Outreach," which involves volunteers preparing up to 300 lunches that we hand out to homeless and hungry patrons in Kensington. Donors find it most impressive that our volunteers solely supply the items for the lunches! AQUA also coordinates several basket drives each year and personally delivers them to the recipients’ homes. Our most well-known and unique event is the Thanksgiving Celebration for the Homeless. AQUA also provides hands on help with repairs, painting, moving, and more which we call our "Beautification Projects!"
