Every day people in the Twin Cities suffer due to hunger and food insecurity - but you can help! Become a part of the effort to make sure that a nutritious meal is available for any of our neighbors who need one. Help end hunger in your community by becoming a Loaves & Fishes volunteer! We invite you to join us in St. Paul to provide meals at the Loaves & Fishes First Covenant dining site. We are welcoming teams of volunteers to work with us to purchase, prepare, and serve a meal for either a one-time occasion or on an ongoing basis. Resources are provided for purchasing food at a low cost, and Site Coordinators are on-site to provide assistance during meal preparation and serving. You also have the option to help out individually, rather than with a team, with meal preparation or meal service and cleanup, with no requirement to provide food or funding for the meal. Loaves and Fishes has provided emergency meal services to individuals and families facing hunger for over 30 years, offering free meals in areas where the need is greatest. We ask no questions of our guests and serve anyone who walks through our doors, knowing that we may be the difference between a healthy dinner and an empty belly.
