ORGANIZATION: Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh
Please visit the new page to apply.
The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will be hosting the Family PlayShop at locations around Pittsburgh. The Family PlayShop combines early childhood education, parent support, and innovative library services in an exciting and attractive program for children from 6 months to 4 years old. This program supports the infants-toddlers PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood and also serves as a recreational and social vehicle for families with very young children. The overall goal of the Family PlayShop is to develop a family-centered environment in public libraries. Volunteers are needed to assist library staff in setting up Family Play Shop activities, cleaning toys and supplies, and providing an "extra set of hands" on PlayShop days.
