Come to Lamp Community to create Valentine's Day cards for our shelter residents. You will be working alongside some of our shelter resident volunteers to write caring messages to those affected by homelessness using construction paper and markers. This will a great way to show that you care and spread some love on Valentine's Day. Please email beths@lampcommunity.org to sign up!

The People Concern believes no one should have to live on the street or in a violent household. Our staff, volunteers and those we serve work together to address the effects of homelessness, poverty, mental and physical illness, abuse and addiction. Our programs empower the most vulnerable among us to improve their quality of life - housed, healthy and safe - and become active participants in the community. We also work to educate the broader community and improve public policy.
Description
The People Concern empowers the most vulnerable among us to rebuild their lives. As one of Los Angeles County’s largest social services agencies, we provide a fully integrated system of care - including mental and medical health care, substance abuse services, and housing - tailored to the unique needs of homeless individuals, survivors of domestic violence, challenged youth, and others who have nowhere else to turn.
