Centennial Middle School 17650 SE Brooklyn St. Portland, OR 97236 Will be hositng Heart of Centennial Valentine’s Day event 9am-2pm. Our goal is to bring the Centennial community together to have fun and learn about heart health as well as gather to attempt to break a Guinness Book of World Record (for most people gathered in one place making a heart shape with their hands) Seeking volunteers for: Volunteer Roles - greet families at the door, facilitate arts & crafts activities, facilitate a jump-rope competition and kick-ball game, assist with raffle & world record breaking Benefits - free heart-healthy lunch This event is a collaboration of the Metropolitan Family Service (MFS) and Portland Parks & Recreation SUN programs, MFS AmeriCorps program and Multnomah County.

Description

Metropolitan Family Service (MFS) volunteers serve in various capacities, depending on their areas of interest and abilities. Volunteers participate in on-going opportunities in one of three focus areas: helping children succeed, strengthening families and their connections to the community, and helping older adults and persons with disabilities live independently. We create opportunities that bridge generations and inspire everyone to live their best life.
