The National MS Society will be holding our annual Walk MS at Sunset Park on April 9, 2016 and would like for you to join us to help people living with MS and their families keep moving forward and celebrate hope for the future. Join the Movement and become a Volunteer on Sat. April 9, 2016 at Sunset Park located at 2601 E. Sunset Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89120. Volunteer opportunities include registration, staffing rest stops, set up/clean up, traffic control and more! Come out, volunteer, and help move us closer to a cure for MS! The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to end the devastating effects of MS.
Description
Founded in 1946, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society supports more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, provides more professional education programs, and furthers more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world.
We do this through the extensive research we support to find the cause, cure and improved treatments of the disease; the comprehensive services we provide to people with MS and their families; the professional education programs we offer to assist health care providers better serve their MS patients; and through our advocacy efforts on state and federal levels to encourage public policies supportive of the needs of people with multiple sclerosis. This is why we at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society are here.
Volunteers are vital to the work of the National MS Society. We welcome volunteers with a wide range of talents and skills. There is only one requirement: to want to do something about MS NOW. Your valuable skills and fresh perspectives will make the Society a stronger and better organization. There are so many ways to contribute, whether through advocacy, programs, fund-raising or special projects. We can always use your help.
