To restore the diversity and health of Fairfax County Parks by assisting in the removal of invasive plant species. The volunteer will assist in removal of invasive plant species and replacing them with native plants.

Enjoy the outdoors while helping the environment by removing invasive species in our parks. Sign in at the front desk at South Run RECenter at 8 am on Saturdays. We will be working until 11:00 am every Saturday from July 2, until August 6, 2016.
Dress for the weather, bring garden gloves, hat, water and a snack. Don't forget sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring pruning sheers and a wide leaf rake if you have them.
In case of rain, the event is cancelled. Purpose: To restore the diversity and health of Fairfax County Parks by assisting in the removal of invasive plant species. Duties: Under the supervision of a team leader you will assist in removal of invasive plant species and replacing them with native plants. Benefits: None Hours of Operation: varies
