Looking for someone who is 55 plus.
Run day to day activities of an arts fundraising organization which may mean interacting with Founder, Board of Advisers, curators, client companies, vendors, other consultants and artists. Hands-on computer and excellent communication skills essential. Regular Duties : This organization seeks an experienced, strategic, and extremely well organized Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the organization and the execution of its mission.
The organization combines the ingenuity of researchers with the creativity of artists to raise funds for childhood cancer research. The ED is expected to develop a clear understanding of the business model of the organization. The ED will report to the Founder and be a liaison with the Board of Advisors. The organization. launched in 2009, sells the works of over sixty artists who have agreed to donate fifty percent of the proceeds to a Foundation.
The Foundation is a 501(c) (3) public charity that makes grants to cancer researchers. Requirements : College degree with at least 10 years of senior management experience; track record of effectively leading an outcomes-based organization; Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable with critical thinking skills; Ability to work independently and effectively with limited resources; Knowledge of the fine arts not necessary but helpful.
Hours : Flexible and to be determined Training : Orientation will be given on the history of this organization, its business model and the goals desired. Site : The organization has no office. The individual would work out of his or her home and meet and consult regularly with the Founder by phone, email and in person
