LUNAFEST is the San Jose Woman's Club main fundraiser for charitable giving. This year the event benefits The Breast Cancer Fund, Pathways Hospice and Home Health Care, and other local charities including San Jose Day Nursery, Next Door Solutions, and 13th Street Cats. Volunteers may select the tasks they are interested in doing based on the time needed. Volunteers may come after 4 and help with the later tasks. 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Set up: Help decorate, prepare movie snacks, set up check-in, food and beverage areas. 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Event staff: Help serve food, check people in, sell tickets, and provide parking information 9 pm - 10 pm Clean up: Remove decorations, pack up remaining food.

Description
The Club was founded in 1894 and currently owns the Clubhouse located at 75 South 11th Street, in downtown San Jose. We have about 125 members, men and women. We rent out our 9000 square foot building for weddings, public events and member events. We have many special interest sections that members may join such as antiques, Be a Dear, mahjong, bridge, walking and book discussion.
We hold several fundraisers a year includng the Naglee Park Home Tour.
We engage the community at the Clubhouse by subsidizing the rent for small non profit and culutral organizations, Many members join to make new friends. There are many volunteer opportunities supporting our activities as well as the preservation of the clubhouse.
