The Bottoms Up Bash is an annual fundraising event supporting the work of the Colon Cancer Prevention Project. We are looking for volunteers to serve on the fun and effective planning committee. Depending on the capacity you wish to serve, this could include helping secure vedors and silent auction items, as well as general event planning, such as developing a theme, marketing the event, designing centerpieces or a variety of other tasks.

On March 3 th, 2017 (National Dress in Blue Day), 500 people will gather in Louisville to raise money to fight the 2 nd most common cancer by attending the 6 th annual Bottoms Up Bash. This popular party raises money for the Colon Cancer Prevention Project, a Louisville-based non-profit on a mission to end colon cancer. The Project was formed in 2004 and it works throughout the region. The 2015 Bash will launch Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Amid the blue-colored dresses, bowties, wigs, and cocktails, a silent auction will serve as the centerpiece.

By volunteering at this event, you will be part of the fight to end colon cancer - and to save lives! Colon cancer strikes more than 2,700 Kentuckians and more than 143,000 United States citizens each year. But it’s one of the most preventable cancers. The Colon Cancer Prevention Project’s work increases access to screening, and provides education and awareness of colon cancer prevention. Since the Project was formed, Kentucky has soared from 49 th worst state for colon cancer screening to 20th.
