Winter at New Echota
There is something peaceful about the quiet solitude of a cold winter’s day. Nature is at rest, and life moves at a slower pace. Trees and plants show their structural beauty and animals are snuggled tight in their beds or scampering about looking for a bit of food. Such is the beauty of New Echota in winter and a great time to visit. Come walk the trails, visit the buildings and see what you discover in the solitude – it just might be yourself.

We'll be pruning the fruit trees and adding fertilizer, tearing down some beaver dams and cleaning out the Bluebird and Wood Duck nesting boxes in preparation for winter.
