Volunteers around the country will be helping to improve their favorite historic site and parks on this special day. Join us as we spruce up the old Cherokee Capital town of New Echota. Bring the entire family out or call to register your Scout or other groups. Afternoon tours of the historic buildings and grounds will be provided. Free site admission for volunteers. Regular admission fee for visitors.

Our mission is simple. We partner with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, local community and business leaders and community volunteers to promote, support, improve and preserve New Echota State Historic Site.
Description
Friends of New Echota State Historic Site, a chapter of Friends of Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, is a group of local volunteers who work to support New Echota State Historic Site in numerous ways. Our volunteers often help out with special events, improvement projects and maintenance tasks at the site. Through partnerships with local business and community leaders, we help fund site improvements, maintenance needs and interpretive programming.
