The farmstead garden will need some mid-season work. Join us as we learn about the 3 sisters of the Cherokee garden while we get it into shape and afterwards help clean up the historic buildings inside. $5 parking.

Mission Statement

Our mission is simple. We partner with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, local community and business leaders and community volunteers to promote, support, improve and preserve New Echota State Historic Site.

Description

Friends of New Echota State Historic Site, a chapter of Friends of Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, is a group of local volunteers who work to support New Echota State Historic Site in numerous ways. Our volunteers often help out with special events, improvement projects and maintenance tasks at the site. Through partnerships with local business and community leaders, we help fund site improvements, maintenance needs and interpretive programming.
