Log Erosion Barriers (LEBs) are logs placed in a shallow trench on the contour to interĀcept water running down a slope and trap sediment. LEBs attempt to trap sediment so that it does not continue to flow downhill into the local water supply. A shallow trench is dug along the contour of the log. The log is placed in the trench and seated with tamped backfill such that water flowing down the slope will not run under it.
We provide all tools and training. Join us and enjoy the outdoors while doing fulfilling work!

Description
We are focused on post-fire watershed rehabilitation, channel stabilization, and mitigation. Volunteers help with projects that help to stabilize the land following the fire, which aids our efforts to protect the community downhill. As we are working to restore the land, we would love to enlist your support as a potential volunteer! If either yourself, your family, your neighbors, or your friends are looking for an opportunity to help, please give me a call at 719-238-2100.
