High severity fires consume standing vegetation, which increases the potential for substantial runoff, soil erosion, down slope flooding, and degradation of water quality. Seeding attempts to restore some stability to burned soils and watersheds. Volunteers for this project will help in the restoration of the Waldo Canyon burn area on the Flying W Ranch property by raking hydrophobic soil, planting seed and spreading mulch. We provide all tools and training. Join us and enjoy the outdoors while doing fulfilling work! **SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER AT WWW.FLYINGWRANCHFOUNDATION.ORG/VOLUNTEER**

Description
We are focused on post-fire watershed rehabilitation, channel stabilization, and mitigation. Volunteers help with projects that help to stabilize the land following the fire, which aids our efforts to protect the community downhill. As we are working to restore the land, we would love to enlist your support as a potential volunteer! If either yourself, your family, your neighbors, or your friends are looking for an opportunity to help, please give me a call at 719-238-2100.
