AWEE connects working professionals with participants who would benefit from support in their job search.

  • Mentors model best practice behaviors for work and social interactions, coach for business success and provide guidance for career progress.
  • Models positive behaviors related to peers, employers and co-workers. Exhibits strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates reliability and follow through on commitments.
  • Is flexible, patient, and approachable.
  • Attend specialized mentor training and make a 6 month commitment to another adult.
  • Follow program guidelines.
  • Keep time commitments including, weekly check-in with your mentee, monthly face-to-face meetings and participating in periodic group activities.
  • Must attend in-person orientation and training in downtown Phoenix.
  • After mentors are matched with an AWEE Participant, they meet weekly on their own time.

AWEE is Arizona's preeminent workforce development organization, offering a diverse range of evidence-based training and support servics throughout Maricopa and Yavapai counties.

AWEE provides services to: women and men who have experienced a recent job loss and wish to return to full-time employment; those who are formerly incarcerated; US Military service Veterans; Youth and those residing in zip code specific areas.

AWEE hosts various education classes; a Job Club; Mentoring Programs; support services and individual Job Coaching.
