We are now accepting project proposals and registration for our annual It's My Park Day Event. When you become a project leader you are playing an important role in caring for our city's beloved green spaces. Many of our parks don't receive the care and attention they need and volunteer days like It's My Park Day are important opportunities to provide basic maintenance to our parks, trails, and open spaces. There are four primary park projects: Tree mulching and root collar clearing, Habitat restoration (invasive exotic plant removal or girdling; re-planting natives), Trail maintenance Park or creek cleanups, which can include or be separate from brush clearing projects for fire prevention.
