  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Event Description:

How you can help empower women in your community? Attend one of our YWCA Volunteer Orientations to find out! Join us and learn about the YWCA’s work, meet other dedicated community volunteers and discover the different ways you can get involved.

The hour and a half orientation includes four primary sections:

1. Organizational Mission & History

2. YWCA Programs & Locations

3. Volunteer Programs Policies & Procedures

4. Social Justice Education

Our goal is to ensure that we use your time wisely; each section is truly important to the overall picture, and we've packed the orientation session full of both valuable information and interactive activities to keep you interested! We encourage you to check out the orientation Prezi here so you can get a sense of the content ahead of time. Best of all, we'll be providing snacks!

All new ongoing volunteers are required to attend a YWCA Volunteer Orientation within 30 days of their start date.

Please feel free to contact Stephanie Heffner, Volunteer Coordinator for more information. sheffner@ywcaworks.org or (206) 461-3214
