Become a volunteer for Sunday Streets by attending a volunteer orientation and learn more about how you can get involved!

Sunday Streets encourages health, recreation, community activities and fun in San Francisco. On once a month Sundays, we transform miles of car-free streets into recreational space for the day in diverse San Francisco neighborhoods. We bring these temporary car-free spaces to neighborhoods that lack recreational parks and outdoor activities. By closing the streets down, we’re opening them for people to bike, walk, run, dance, do yoga, or do any other physical activity for several hours.

All volunteers are required to attend one orientation each year. We highly encourage attending an orientation before volunteering at an event.

What: Attend this orientation to learn about Sunday Streets volunteer roles and responsibilities. This is a chance to get the inside scoop on all the information leading up to our events. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.

When: 6pm - 7pm; Volunteer orientations will be held once a month on the Monday before Sunday Streets events: Monday, October 12

We can hold about 15-20 volunteers max per orientation.

Volunteer Waiver: Sunday Streets welcomes volunteers of all ages, however volunteers under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver before volunteering, and ages under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
