The CalPREP program is designed to increase students' college readiness. As a mentor, you will be helping students explore the idea of college through interactive lesson plans each week and close the knowlege gap in first generation students. As a mentor, you will serve as a motivator and role model to help these students succeed throughout their academic career. At Currie Middle School/Thorman Elementary, you have a choice of meeting Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays (or all days if available) from 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Requirements: 12 week commitment (March-May), MUST be a college student, & must be willing to work with children grades 5-8. Description
Currie Middle School is an academically focused learning environment, where students and staff are held accountable for mastery of grade level concepts. Academic programs are provided for all levels of learners, including honors, intervention, or enrichment. Currie’s academic programs match those offered at all Tustin Unified School District middle schools.
