South Street Seaport Museum is currently recruiting the docent class of 2015! Docents are greeters and interpreters for the Museum exhibits and spaces, including our historic buildings, artifacts, and fleet of ships.
Training for this program will take place Thursdays from 6-7pm, from 2/19 - 4/2. After successful training and acceptance into the program, docents will be able to schedule their volunteer days and locations.
The Seaport is one of the most impressive historical areas of New York City, and is undergoing a massive revitalization effort to make it better than ever! Volunteering as a docent is one of many ways to be a critical part of this exciting time for the Museum!
