The National Miss Amazing Summit is Miss Amazing’s largest annual gathering of outstanding girls and women with disabilities who are committed to their personal growth and championing positive social change. This year, over 180 local Miss Amazing representatives will travel to Chicago to exchange ideas about becoming the change that they wish to see - in their communities and beyond. As a Buddy, you will serve as a friend, ally, and guide to 3-4 Miss Amazing representatives on Saturday, July 29th. Your schedule will vary depending on the representatives to which you are assigned; please ensure that you are available from 9 am - 9 pm that day. While Buddies are only required to attend the National Summit on July 29th, the event begins for attendees on Friday, July 28th and ends on Sunday, July 30th. You are encouraged to attend the shows and closing ceremony on Sunday! Tickets are $15/show and available for purchase on site.

Mission Statement
The mission of Miss Amazing Inc. is to provide opportunities for girls and women with disabilities to build self-confidence in a supportive environment.
Description
We believe that all people should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential. Through the Miss Amazing Pageant and other Miss Amazing programs, we hope to give girls and women with disabilities that opportunity. In an atmosphere built around encouragement and support, we believe the Miss Amazing Pageant can bring the community together and encourage further inclusion for individuals with special needs. The Miss Amazing pageant is different from any other pageant because the participants have the opportunity to give back their communities by simply entering in the pageant! The only entrance fee is five cans of food. This feature of the organization not only allows the participants to become active members of the community, but also ensures that their participation in the program is in no way a drain on their personal finances. Once these cans are collected, the six division representatives kick off their reign by donating them to a local homeless shelter or food pantry. This is how Miss Amazing offers girls with disabilities the opportunity to use their newly acquired skills from the Miss Amazing Pageant to become community leaders and change-makers. Our hope is to inspire the Miss Amazing queens and princesses with this community service project to put their talents to work and give back in their own way!
