Volunteer Craigslist Ad WriterAre you handy at writing and photography? You may be a perfect fit for volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity's ReStore in San Carlos! We always need volunteer help to craft compelling and informative advertisements on Craigslist for merchandise at the Habitat ReStore. Habitat Greater San Francisco's ReStore is a home improvement retail store, driven and operated by volunteers, benefiting Habitat for Humanity GSF. At the ReStore, Habitat receives and resells home decor, lighting, appliances, and furniture to the public at a discounted price.Craigslist is one of the top 3 ways that the ReStore finds new shoppers. Craigslist volunteers find items to post, write item descriptions, take photographs, and craft an ad. Volunteers also respond to merchandise questions by email. Some basic computer skills are necessary, but we'll teach you the rest. Volunteers commit to one 3 ½ hour shift a week for at least 4 weeks. Shifts run Tuesday - Saturday from 10 - 1:30 and 1:30 - 5:30. Scheduling is flexible!

RSVP of San Mateo & Northern Santa Clara Counties is sponsored by Mills-Peninsula Health Services. RSVP is administered by the Corporation for National & Community Service, the federal agency that supports service and volunteering programs to improve lives, strengthen communities and foster civic engagement. We serve all of San Mateo County and the cities of Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View. Palo Alto, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills in Santa Clara County.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!
RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, pre-service orientation, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
