The residents at Arvada Care and Rehabilitation LOVE having new faces in the building! One of our most popular volunteer areas is in the dining room, where volunteers assist the dietary staff while chatting with all of our long-term residents. Dining volunteers commit to one meal per week (lunch: 11:45-1pm, and dinner: 4:45-6pm), and do things like get drinks, serve plates, and help clear tables. Of course the main purpose of the program is to get the community interacting with our residents, so if you really hit it off with a resident, feel free to pull up a chair and just talk! This is a great opportunity for high schoolers who need volunteering hours. 2 month commitment, please. Contact me if you're interested- I will get back to you within 1 business day, and you can complete the application/training/orientation online. Many people begin volunteering within 1 week.
