Volunteers leaders needed to make 2015 a great year for the people we serve. There is so much to do and we need your help to make it happen.
We need experienced volunteers who are interested in teaching or tutoring in the following programs:
Career workshops (resume building, mentoring, interview skills)
Computer Training (basic computer, email, Microsoft Office)
GED Tutoring Program (subject: math, language arts, science, social studies) GED Director with adult basic education experience needed.
Team captains needed for 1st Saturday Bless the Homeless program. Must volunteer 2 Saturdays per year.
Lead Volunteer and assistant coordinators needed for the following programs:
Backpack / School Supply Drive - get 500 new backpacks filled with school supplies, new shoes and school outfit
Summer Lunch Program for needy children - Goal : To make 2500 lunches in June-August.
Thanksgiving food drive - Provide 300 Thanksgiving food baskets to needy families
Christmas toy drive - Provide 3-5 new toys to 500 needy children this year.
So much to do in 2015. If you have free time, a big heart and a willing spirit, please join us and make this happen.

Description
Lift Up Atlanta, Inc. is a volunteer organization that provides basic care, recreational activities, hot meal programs etc. for homeless women and children. We also help feed the hungry with food drives and providing meals.
We partner with other non profit organizations to provide toys at Christmas, seasonal food baskets, furniture move-ins for the homeless, summer lunch programs for kids, back packs/school supplies for kids etc..
Our ultimate goal is provide transitional housing for homeless women and children and a resource center so that they can get all the services that they need to empower them to have a much better life.
