On April 23th, 2015 the Brooklyn Community Pride Center will be hosting its Annual Gala - The Community Leadership Gala (formerly known as the Founders' Ball). This is our biggest event of the year and a critical fundraiser for BCPC. Through this event we not only celebrate the achievements of our community but we raise awareness and funds to help us execute the great programs and events at the center.

Each year we count on amazing volunteers to help us ensure that this event is a major success; and this year is no exception. We would like to invite you to be part of this incredible celebration and help us make this year even better.

We are looking for individuals to get involved in the planning committee which will meet in the evenings leading up to the Gala. They will be involved with the 'nuts and bolts' of planning: vendor selection (think caterers, rentals), as well as with soliciting silent and live auction items.

We’re also looking for folks to assist with administrative work during the daytime, which will include outreach (emails, calls, and face to face contact).

But wat, there’s more! In the two weeks leading up to the party, we will need individuals to assist with additional admin work, such as ensuring our guest list is accurate and the auction is in order by creating packages/bid sheets etc. On the day of the event, we will need assistance with set up (such as the tables and the bar), the actual event (the food service, guest check in, and coat check), and the clean up at the end of the night, which, with a dedicated team usually takes no more than an hour.

As a thank you for helping us make the event a success, volunteers are invited to attend the after party as our guests, which will be held from 9pm to 12am.

There’s something for everyone! It should be a fantastic night and we'd love to have you join us.
