The Relay For Life of Fredericksburg/Stafford is seeking volunteers to serve on our Event Leadership Team as Sponsorship Recruiters.

Sponsorship recruiters are volunteers who canvas the businesses in the community, and make cold-calls to businesses in the community of Fredericksburg/Stafford. These volunteers are looking for businesses who are interested in Sponsoring our Relay For Life fundraising event. Volunteers will be given sponsorship packets to share with the businesses that explain what they will recieve based on their level of sponsorship.

The Relay For Life event served over 600 individuals last year and is poised to have a larger attendance in 2015. Businesses who chose to partner with the ACS through Relay For Life will be advertised at the event based on their sponsorship level.

Sponsorship Recruiters educate business owners about the Relay For Life fundraising event and encourage them to also create teams. These participants and teams fundraise up to and at the event where they set up "campsites" and take part in a celebration of cancer survivors and also remember those lost.

Sponsorship Recruiters set bi-weekly goals as to how many Sponsors they will recruit and work both individually and with other Sponsorship Recruiters to reach those goals.

The perfect volunteer for this role would be outgoing, a self-starter, and someone who is ready to own the role and take off with it.
