Create a 3 min video to raise awareness and funds for art project for teenage girls in Congo

This is an opportunity to create a short 3-4 min video to support teenage girls in Eastern Congo. Colors of Connection will use the video to raise funds and awareness for our upcoming public art project Caring for Congo. The goal of the project is to support teenage girls who are socially excluded and at risk of, or are survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in Goma, in the war-torn eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. We will work with teenage girls and community leaders to create two murals in public spaces that promote the community’s approach towards supporting and protecting their girls. The teenage girls will be trained in arts techniques and receive psychosocial support during the project and desidng and create two murals, transforming two public areas of Goma. Through the video we'd love to give people a glimpse of the challenges these girls and their community face and the transformation that will occur as a result of the project. We envision the use of animation to realize the video though we do have video footage of our past work, and some photos could probably be obtained of teenage girls in eastern Congo.
