Description: VITAS Healthcare of Jacksonville is looking for musical volunteers to help provide terminally ill patients and their families comfort and support. Volunteers visit patients in their homes, nursing homes and assisted living communities to play a musical instrument and/or sing to share their talents in therapeutic ways. Requirements: VITAS provides training on how to work with people at the end of life. The volunteer provides talent, compassion and time. Assignments are made according to the volunteer’s time and location.

Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care and offering support services in the office, using their cars and from their own homes.
