At The Family Place, volunteers are an extremely important resource and the lifeblood of our organization. We rely on volunteers to serve individually and to also provide help with group projects. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available, ranging from ad hoc event volunteers to people who come in and work with children in the evenings. A full listing of these opportunities is available at www.familyplace.org.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please attend our next orientation on June 30th from 6-8:30pm. We hope to see you there!!

Mission Statement
To eliminate family violence through intervention and proactive prevention, extensive community education, advocacy and assistance for victims and their families.
Description
Each year, we provide emergency shelter and crisis services to more than 1,000 women and children, transitional housing and supportive services to approximately 150 women and children, and counseling to nearly 4,000 women and children victims and abusers working to change their violent behavior.
