Wesley Housing’s After-School Program is designed to provide a safe and structured environment for elementary children at its Community Resource Centers (CRC). Heavy emphasis is directed toward academic improvement and social skills development, both of which are identified areas of weakness for at-risk children. We need patient and creative volunteers to work one-on-one to assist children in their community to help end the school year with improved math and reading skills.

We currently need Homework Helpers at the following Community Resource Center: Whitefield Commons CRC: 106 North Thomas Street Arlington, VA 22203; Monday-Friday: 3:45pm - 5:00pm Time Commitment: Volunteers are asked to commit at least 1 hour, one day per week for the remaining Spring 2015 semester.
