Komen Acadiana
Mission Statement: At Susan G. Komen, our mission is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering others, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. At Susan G. Komen, our mission is pretty simple: to save lives and end breast cancer forever. How we do it…well, that’s a bit more complex. We educate, support research, offer grants that provide financial and emotional assistance and advocate for better breast cancer policy. But in a broader sense, we empower others, ensure quality care for all, and invest in science to find the cures.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Komen Acadiana. It's always exciting to have new faces volunteer! We are always in need of help doing various tasks in our office as well as in our community.
We are currently looking for volunteers in the following areas:
Office Volunteer * Volunteers that come in to do various tasks at the office 1-2 times a month.
Event Prep Volunteer
* Komen Acadiana hosts Race for the Cure in Acadiana & Alexandria each year. In addition to Race we have other small fundraising events and community engagements. Summer Event - 6/18/16 Cenla Race for the Cure - 10/29/16 VIPink - 11/18/16 Acadiana Race for the Cure - March 2017
Volunteer Jobs - Run errands, Fold shirts, Create Race Packets, help us prep for Event meetings, send mail outs & reminders etc.
Pink Paparazzi
* Volunteers that share all of our social media messaging. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube & Pinterest.
Committee & Outreach Volunteer * Volunteers that help us be a presence in the community. These volunteers represent us at health fairs and community fundraisers, and run errands when needed.
