HandsOn San Diego - River Mouth Restoration

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: HandsOn San Diego

We are working to care for and help restore one of California’s last remaining coastal sand dune and wetland habitats, where the San Diego River meets the Pacific Ocean. The day starts with an interpretive walk led by a botanist and/or docent followed by stewardship activities including native plant rescue and watering, invasive plant removal, shoring up access control features and general cleanup of the site.

All tools and supplies are provided.

Community service hours for school and courts can be verified.

Additional Information: Dress in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Don't forget your water.

Must be a HandsOn San Diego member. To become a member there is a lifetime registration fee but fee waivers are available upon request. Express interest for more information!
