GreatNonprofits is a growing technology firm that serves nonprofits, providing web and mobile solutions.

We are looking for a reliable Financial Manager that will analyze every day financial activities and provide advice and guidance on future financial plans.

The goal is to enable our nonprofit to make sound business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Review financial reports, monitor accounts, and preparing activity reports and financial forecasts.
  • Explore ways to improve profitability, and analyze markets for business opportunities.
  • Maintain the financial health of the organization.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  • Develop trends and projections for the organization's finances.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
You'll work directly with the CEO and VP of Business Development.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years Proven experience as a Financial Manager
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus


Commitment: 1 day per week. Some of the work can be done remotely. But we do prefer for you to come into our office at least once a week. Join us for our team lunch!
