We are in need of a well-organized person to assist with the day-to-day operations of Frosty Drew Observatory and Nature Center. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and organized and will have experience with fundraising, events and grant-writing. Each of our two departments, the observatory and the nature center, are overseen by a director, but we are in need of someone to assist with the overall operations of the organization and to help us grow. This position could, potentially, become a paid position.

Mission Statement
Frosty Drew Memorial Fund, Inc: Enlighten, discover, inspire- through education and research- knowledge about science, the night sky, and the universe.
Description
Frosty Drew Observatory and Science Center is Southern New England's gateway to the Milky Way! We are located at one of the darkest sites in Southern New England where thousands of stars are visible overhead.
Frosty Drew, our namesake, was interested in a wide range of ecological and conservation activities, particularly along Rhode Island's beautiful shores. As a child, Frosty contracted polio, weakening him through life and contributing to his death at the age of 28.
Our programs focus on education of both children and adults:
1) Weekly Stargazing Nights events
2) Themed events focused on meteor showers, observing the Milky Way, and other celestial events.
3) School field trips focusing on astronomy, conservation, astrophysics, and the night sky.
4) BSA scouting field trips focused on astronomy badge achievement.
