Are you a people person? Do you love to laugh, have fun and make new friends, all while helping others? Then this is the opportunity for you! We are looking for a few able bodied, open minded individuals to volunteer their time at the New JErsey Blind Citizens Association Wobser Day Program.
Volunteers are needed to guide participants from our van,laugh, serve a morning coffee and snack, laugh, serve lunch, laugh, play bingo, laugh, read horoscopes and trivia, laugh, chaperone on an occasional outing, laugh....you get the picture?
NJBCA is a facility that offers a day progam to blind and visually impaired adults. While here, our participants create art, sing, do trivia, partipate in current event discussions and have a good time.
No experience is necessary, just a great attitude and the willingness to help. You need not worry about not knowing what to do, the participants will show you! You will also be guided by our staff and other volunteers.
Please consider donating some time, and even your talents to us! If you can sing, dance, play an instrument (we have a piano at the facility) tell jokes or anything else, please let us know! We are looking for you too!

We are seeking volunteers from Monday through Thursday. You do not have to volunteer for all the days, just one will do. The hourse are 9:45 am to 2:00 pm.

As the oldest charity in NJ of our kind, we are celebrating 100 years of unlocking opportunities for the blind and visually impaired. Through our Wobser Day program and other initatives, we run educational and social programs like computer training, a fine arts program, wellnessl program, garden club, crochet club, peer support group for individuals and families, and more for blind and visually impaired adults in NJ.
