We are currently looking for volunteers
for the following programs:
PetSmart Caregivers-volunteers clean and socialize with all the cats up for adoption at the local PetSmart store from the three different animal shelters every third week. Certain days needed for afternoon/evening cleanings. Volunteers will receive on the job training from the Volunteer Coordinator, Foster Coordinator, or seasoned volunteers.
Host Volunteers: Individuals that are comfortable speaking in front of a group of people and enjoy working with people needed to lead volunteer orientations monthly. Host volunteers also help greet visitors, direct potential adopters, and handout resource materials on busy days.
Poster Distribution: distribute flyers for various ECCHA events and fundraisers through out the year at locations all over the Chippewa Valley. Each volunteer (or group of volunteers) is assigned a specific location of town to distribute flyers to designated businesses.
Foster Families: Provide a temporary home to animals that are too ill, too young to be adopted, or that just don’t do well in the shelter environment. Foster parents must complete the volunteer application, volunteer orientation, and a foster application to be considered.
Shelter Volunteers: help with all kinds of tasks from cleaning, lawn care, dishes, laundry, organizing, etc on certain days/times at the shelter.
