Join park staff and other volunteers in a fun day to beautify the historic gardens at Casa Grande! Together we’ll plant ornamental shrubs, remove pesky weeds and prune existing garden plants. Volunteers will meet park staff at 9:00 a.m. at the Casa Grande parking lot, 21350 Almaden Rd. in New Almaden. Pre-registration is required. No special skills are needed. Please wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring a long sleeved shirt, sunscreen and a water bottle. All necessary tools and gloves are provided. All registered volunteers will receive a confirmation notice prior to the event, including a map and final details. Volunteers under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the event.

Description
Since 1924, when Stevens Creek County Park was established, people have given their time and talents to help make Santa Clara County Parks special places to visit. In 2010, nearly 2000 volunteers donated over 40,000 hours of service to a variety of projects and programs.
