Avengers Mentoring Through Life Skills Education

Avengers mentoring through life skills education workshops take place monthly at the Skillman Branch Library located at 121 Gratiot Ave, Detroit, MI where we mentor young men and women ages 10-24.

These workshops include:

  • CPR/First Aid
  • Safety and Security Procedures
  • Etiquette and Dining Protocol for Teens
  • Entrepreneurship Training
  • Resume Building
  • Financial Literacy
  • Public Speaking
  • Community Service
  • Educational Outings

upon completion of every workshop we engange in a group discussion on how to apply the knowledge gained from the workshop to everyday life.

We also have

Avengers Lunch With A Mentor Program

Avengers "Lunch with a Mentor" program mentors a maximum of 15 young men in a group setting during lunch on a weekly basis at Golighlty Education Center and Mark Twain Middle School. With our newest female mentor Whitney Debroy, our "Lunch with a Mentor" program has evolved and expanded at Mark Twain Middle School in Detroit, now mentoring both male and females in grades 7th and 8th during lunch, we are now able to reach more youth.
The objective is T.H.I.N.K

* Teach youth life responsibility
* Help youth make better life choices
* Instill importance of respect for others
* Navigate the path to higher education
* Keep youth growing with opportunities for leadership

We also mentor a group of young men after school weekly at George Crockett Academy in Detroit.

Avengers Youth Mentoring Organization in Houston, TX is a non-profit organization that provides mentoring and support services to young people in the community. We aim to help youth develop life skills, build positive relationships, and achieve their full potential.

We offer a range of programs and services, including one-on-one mentoring, group mentoring, tutoring, leadership development, college readiness, and career exploration. We also provide a variety of recreational and enrichment activities, such as sports teams, art programs, and field trips.

We are committed to helping young people overcome challenges and build resilience. Our staff and volunteers work closely with youth to provide guidance and support, and to help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
