To be eligible to be appointed as a member of the Program Committee
Roles and Responsibilities:
The role of the program committee is

  • To oversee new program development, and to monitor and assess existing programs.
  • To initiate and guide program evaluations, and
  • To facilitate discussions about program priorities for the agency.
  • To give direction to the conference, support and help to publicize it, suggest speakers to be invited, and participate in the review processes (both abstract and manuscript) as assigned by the chair.
  • Inviting the main speakers/presenters for talks, workshops, and/or panel discussions.
  • Obtaining titles, abstracts, biographical information, and equipment needsfrom the invited speakers/presenters.
  • Maintaining communication with speakers/presenters to confirm the date and time for their presentations, and confirming that they have directions to and parking for the meeting. count.
  • Creating the program. The program should contain Program Schedule with times and locations of events Abstracts of all talks (invited, students, and contributed) Biographies of invited speakers List of members of the Program and Local Arrangements Committees
  • Providing the completed program to the Newsletter Editor and Webmaster.
  • Providing the completed program to the Local Arrangements Chair.
  • Sending a note of thanks to all invited speakers and presenters after the meeting.
  • Consult the membership as widely as possible on the prospective themes of the Symposium.
  • Once the themes are approved by the Executive Board, the Program Committee should prepare a rationale for each theme, to be published in the Bulletin of the Kindah Foundation with the 'First Notice' of the forthcoming Symposium.
  • Call for papers with appropriate deadlines, instructions and guidelines for submissions should be prepared and submitted for publication with the 'First Notice’.
  • The Program Committee will evaluate paper proposals and notify all prospective presenters of the success or otherwise of their proposals at least six months prior to the conference.

Term of Service:

  • One (1) Year

Time Commitment:

  • 5-10 hours per month
  • Highly encouraged to attend all events
  • Attend all meetings & conferences

Kindah(tm) Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization serving all of Florida and the Caribbean. Kindah(tm) Foundation strives to unite friends, families, and the community in the fight against Ovarian and Cervical Cancer through early detection, education, and survivors support services. We believe no female should face cancer alone.

On September 24, 2016, Kindah Foundation launches South Florida’s first-ever "Teal 5K Run/ Fun Walk" dedicated to Ovarian & Gynecologic Cancer Survivors living in South Florida. We receive two proclamations from Broward County and one from the City of Pembroke Pines in support of our efforts to raise awareness on these deadly diseases. The ultimate goal of Kindah Foundation is to save lives through awareness, education, and survivors support services.
